Desiccated coconut can be used in a variety of Indian desserts, such as coconut and cardamom barfi or frozen kulfi. It’s also a key ingredient in curries and Peshwari naan bread. The medium grain size of desiccated coconut adds bite and texture to coconut macaroons and ice cream, but is still fine enough to coat marshmallows or chocolate truffles with a layer of white, nutty sweetness.
