Idly Rice

Idli rice is an integral part of the famous Idlis, a type of savoury cake enjoyed throughout India and neighbouring countries. To make this incredibly delicious dish, steamed batter consisting of de-husked black lentils and Idli rice is used. What’s great about it, aside from its taste and texture, is that the fermentation process within the batter breaks down starches so they are more easily absorbed by your body – making this a really healthy meal!
