King Cumin, also known as ajwain or ajowan, is a spice with a thyme aroma and a slightly hot, spicy flavor. It’s especially beloved in India as a seasoning for dhal dishes (Indian dishes made with pulses), potatoes and vegetables. TRS Ajwain (Lovage Seeds) can be fried in ghee to release their full aroma. Additionally, cumin has been shown to aid in digestion and improve appetite.

Ajwain seeds have a strong, bitter flavor that is reminiscent of caraway seeds. The aroma is very similar to thyme. These seeds come from a plant that is in the same family as parsley.
