I just wanted to make a quick note that the sugar we’re using is called BURA, which is a type of sugar powder. It’s made from sugarcane molasses, which contains small amounts of minerals like calcium, vitamins B3, B5 and iron.

Bura sugar, also called demerara sugar, is a type of light brown sugar that is more granular than refined white sugar. The sugar gets its name from the Hindi word for “crushed,” because of its light brown colour and granular texture.
